NYE minus one

Holiday cards continue to come in, which pleases me; the last dozen or so go out tomorrow, which pleases me, too. No NYE plans as yet; based on past years, I'll probably either wander around somewhere, or find a small party at the last minute- it's fine either way. This has been a mixed year, as they all are: I wish I had taken better care of myself physically, and gotten more writing done. However, it's hard to knock any year in which I got to pronounce the wedding vows for my best friend and his lady love; too, it looks as though I have a full-time editing position as of the 14th, which is most welcome. Now, since I seem to have recovered fully from Christmas ghastliness, to walk into the city, get some last-minute errands done, and perhaps curl up in a corner for an hour or two with a writing notebook and some slowly percolating plot notions.
