James Marsden

I am far, far too delighted to learn that the prince in Enchanted, a rather delightful skewing of Disney animation storytelling tropes, is played by James Marsden- best known as Cyclops in the X-Men movies. There, he does a competent if uninspired¹ job of playing a repressed, focused stick in the mud; here, he's gloriously silly, doing a sublime job of both conveying and gently satirizing the character's heightened, Disneyesque emotion. (He also was very good in Superman Returns, although I didn't like the movie.)

Also, lovely pictures of coyotes.

¹When I said as much to a friend, his response was that it's difficult to act with so much of one's face covered. My reply: "You mean like Tim Curry in Legend?"
