nex0s for coffee, which turned into spending the afternoon together. A lovely time, with someone I'm still getting to know; we discovered that we have a mutual difficulty (in the form of a person), which always does wonders to break the ice. From there, a quick bite to eat, and then off to a birthday party crammed with all sorts of wonderful people; from there, a last-minute discovery that Velvet Goldmine was playing a midnight show at the IFC theater. (This was the theater at which I met my ex-fiancee, back when it was still the Waverly; this amuses me no end whenever I'm there.) Finally, I swung by the bar which has hired most of the staff from Rose's; wonderfully heartening to see everyone, staff and customers both, and in a venue that's decidedly more upscale that the old. Today seems to be a good day vis a vis toothache, I'll probably spend it working on Harry Potter stuff, as soon as I scritch a certain cat behind the ear.
