Jul. 12th, 2007 02:35 pm(I think I had this dream because I was listening to a folksinger's cover of this song yesterday, while at Starbucks. At any rate, it pleases me to blame them.)
In my dream, my college roommate, Frisco (whom I've not seen in over fifteen years) has just burst, Kramer-style, into my apartment, holding an actual vinyl album. As I'm trying to tell him that I don't have a system capable of playing vinyl, he manages to juryrig something with my DVD player. He drops needle to album; a moment or two of scratchiness... and then I'm listening to "Love Will Tear Us Apart"... as covered by Tony Bennett, complete with swanky Nelson Riddle-esque orchestration.
"Love... love will tear us apart... hey!"
I was trying to formulate a response to this, when I woke up.
