Random gripe

Can anyone tell me why the Tangerine Dream soundtrack for Legend seems to be unavailable, in favor of the inferior Goldsmith version? (Don't get me wrong- Goldsmith is a genius; this one, though, was not one of his best. Then again, I actually prefer the studio cut of the film over Scott's, which lingers on the lovely images without adding much- except for Lily's song- that actually makes me care about the characters; I still found myself simply waiting for Tim Curry to show up.)
