scenes from a weekend
Apr. 14th, 2003 06:54 pmIn general, an infinitely better, more relaxing weekend than the previous. In specific:
-The Merrill Lynch building, if you catch it on the right time of day on a cloudless afternoon, actually looks as though someone had cut holes in the front wall- the windows reflect the blue of the sky that perfectly. Lovely in a slightly unearthly way. (And no,
galadriel22, I wasn't tempted to take a picture. Much.)
-I keep forgetting just how absolutely wonderful an album London Calling is, and getting to (re)discover it.
-Delightful conversation at Barbes with friends Sunday night; have discovered a new filmgeek aficionado in my circle of acquaintances. *insert evil laugh*
-Fireworks from the general vicinity of the Intrepid Saturday night, while walking toward the subway from this (which, incidentally, is a very good adaptation of Romeo & Juliet, and well worth seeing). Can anyone else besides
reive confirm this, or ideally, explain?
-Catproofing of the room proceeds apace.
-Thanks,
drood. For listening, for joking, for everything. You are a much-valued online friend.
