worn to the nub
Jan. 10th, 2003 05:52 pmBusy night last night; had an early b-day celebration (second this week) for
jenfuhh with J. and
bex69. Left early and walked around for a bit, winding up at piano bar; just as I was contemplating calling it an early night,
sykii walked in, with
reive and Chuck following; excellent conversation, need it be said, ensued.
Then, up today to meet
eleanor; sushi brunch, and over to the World Trade Center redesign proposals, and the Annie Liebovitz photo exhibit. The "Sky Park" proposal definitely spoke to me the most eloquently; I'm not sure how much of the space is being delegated for commercial purposes, there's definitely room for structures such as a high school and/or a library (as eleanor pointed out), and I'd like to see something done with the footprints- but as a design, it's about life, not merely Logan's Run aesthetic fantasies- and that's important to me.
