Huh, my 5,000th post; I didn't think that I'd be using the journal for more than a few weeks, when I first started it while recovering from back surgery in April 2001. I still don't know how much longer I'll be here; my urge to post has deteriorated along with my faith in LJ itself, and a great many of the people I used to use this to keep in touch with are gone from the scene, in one way or another. Still, this LJ has been with me through all manner of ups and downs over the last ten years; if I do wind up getting rid of it somewhere down the line, I'll certainly miss the interactions I've had here, from sublime to ridiculous. I haven't made a decision about anything; from the beginning, this LJ has just sort of happened, one way or another.
