This reminds me of one of my biggest complaints about ROwling: the females. There is only a shred of a female friendship between Ginny and Hermione, and both girls are the sort who'd much rather hang out with boys than other girls. For Marauders-era fic, there's *one* girl and a pack of boys. (Admittedly casting Snape as the loner goth chick in Breakfast Club works all too well, but srsly Rowling, WTF no girls who have female friends.)

...and Lupin as the essay-writer, yes?
